What this site is
WARDOGS Field Manual is an independent reference site about one subject: the verifiable numbers inside WARDOGS — the cash economy, objective scoring, vendor prices, progression unlocks, and the technical caveats of the launch build. WARDOGS is a 100-player tactical shooter developed by BULKHEAD, published by Team17, that entered Steam Early Access on 10 September 2026.
The site does not try to cover the game broadly. It covers a narrow set of questions that players ask once they have bought in and started losing money: what a revive actually pays 【B】, how a match is won, what the vendor charges after the Season 1 price change, and which parts of the launch build are still unfinished. Each page answers one question completely so a reader does not need six tabs to settle it.
Independent, and not connected to the publisher
WARDOGS Field Manual is an independent reference site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to BULKHEAD or Team17. It is not developer support, not a studio project, and not an official information channel for the game. Game titles, studio names and in-game terms appear only for identification and commentary, and remain the property of their owners.
What this site refuses to publish
The refusal matters more than the coverage, so it is stated first:
- No cheat, hack, bot or exploit material. Nothing on this site tells anyone how to abuse the game.
- No item, currency or account trading. There are no affiliate links, no gold or cash sales, no boosting services and no account transfers, and no page links out to a third party that offers them.
- No invented numbers. Weapon damage figures, recoil comparisons, spawn coordinates, loot routes and “strongest weapon” rankings are not in the verified source list, so they are not written. If a number is missing, the reader should assume it could not be traced.
How every number is graded
Every figure on this site carries one of four grades. The grade is printed immediately after the number as a small marker, and activating the marker opens a note explaining what that grade means and when the page was last checked.
The four grades
| Mark | Grade | What it means | How to treat it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 【A】 | Confirmed | Stated by the developer, or the same figure appears in more than one independent source | Safe to plan around, still worth re-checking after a patch |
| 【B】 | Single source | One source only, usually the Season 1 changelog of 9 September 2026 or launch reporting | Patch-dependent. Confirm at the in-game vendor before spending |
| 【C】 | Estimate | This site worked out the figure by arithmetic from confirmed numbers, and the working is printed beside it | A calculation, not a game value. Re-run it with your own numbers |
| 【Unconfirmed】 | Not confirmed | No source could be verified | Written as words rather than as a number, so nothing looks settled that is not |
A page whose snapshot has not been re-checked for roughly two months says so at the top of the page, without waiting for anyone to remember to update the text.
The grades exist because the alternative — writing every figure in the same confident voice — is exactly how early-access guides go wrong. A price that was $2,500 in one build is $7,500 in the next 【B】; a payout that one player measured is not the same thing as a payout the developer documented. Mixing those two into one flat paragraph is how a reader ends up planning a loadout around a number that no longer exists.
Where the numbers come from
- The publisher’s own change notes. The Season 1 price list and the Patch 0.11 server changes are taken from official Steam announcements dated 9 and 12 September 2026.
- Launch reporting. Sales figures, concurrent-player peaks, platform support and the launch queue pressure come from release-week coverage, and are graded accordingly.
- Behaviours a player can observe. Scoring rules, tower capture flow, the Hot Zone doubling and the structure of the vendor screen can be checked in the build.
- Arithmetic on this site. Where a per-hour or per-life figure would help, it is calculated from the confirmed figures above and printed with its working and a 【C】 grade rather than presented as a game value.
How the site is maintained
- Every economy page carries a build bar at the top: which patch the page assumes, and the date it was last checked.
- When a patch moves a number, the page is edited. Near-duplicate pages are not created to chase a term.
- Corrections go to the page itself, not into a comment or an errata list.
- Pages that age past roughly two months without a re-check flag themselves as possibly out of date.
Money, and what it buys
Reading is free. Running costs are covered by display advertising, which is the only commercial element on the site. No advertiser reviews, approves or edits anything here; no advertiser is connected to BULKHEAD or Team17; and no page carries a paid placement, an affiliate redirect or a link to a currency seller. If advertising ever required editorial control, the advertising would go instead.
Corrections and contact
Send a correction to [email protected] with the page name, the figure you believe is wrong, and the source you are comparing it against. A correction with a source is applied quickly; a correction without one is still read, but it has to be verified before it can change a graded number.
Before relying on any figure here for a purchase, confirm it at the in-game vendor. The game is the final word; this site is a dated transcript of it.
